Well this has hands down been the most shit week I have had at uni so far. It has been the only time I have cried in public in over a year and all over being fired from a VOLUNTEER job without a reason in which I HAD DONE THE WORK!!! So yes I was not very impressed at all - and just for the record I still have recieved NO VALID POINT as to WHY we were "replaced" the person doing the firing in question then would not meet without someone there higher up to back her up even when we said we wernt angry and that we were all grown ups and that we only wanted a decent reason to why - we were even prepared to take on the job once again even after all the kuffefel that should never have been there in the first place if we were given that reason and a decent apology neither of which have yet been supplied and I doubt that either ever will.
Both my 'partner in crime' and myself still plan to hand in all our paperwork for the design and shooting concept of the opener for marking as we were doing this out of good will and hopefully for some extra marks if good enough yet we were rudely interupted only a few days before shooting when we were behind schedual already - not our fault though as we were informed to wait until we had a new concept for the home set as we were ready to shoot the opener for the fridge concept end of last term and 2 days before shooting the designers changed their minds. To come up with an entire concept package and be ready to shoot in the time of 4 days given that the home set was nothing and inspired to the amount of zilch and then to be fired and in the same 5 minute conversation be told "were all a team and in this together" and to hand over my work eg storyboards and studio time etc.. for someone else to use I found both blatently rude and unacceptable - Yes we would be all in a team if this was a proper production in the real world and we were all getting paid to make a masterpiece - but we are not we are at uni and what the person in charge in this phone call did not realise is that we are getting marked on this and if marks aren't good enough some of us dont get scholarships which means an end to our existance in this course in which may lead one day to a promising carrear n which we are getting paid and we are all in the same boat - in uni if we were all to get one mark and one mark only as a team mark - as in if everyone preformes and gets the job done well then everyone in the class gets a HD not just her if it goes well. personally I have lost respect for the individual in the way they handled this unnessesary situation in both a professional manner and a personal one. I will not let that affect my work with this person yet my liking of them is less because of it. As for Friday I was CCU and DA - Marcus I understand that when you direct you are very precise but for example when mim told you she was not a very capable camerman and you got annoyed with her for trying her hardest to pull off some of the most tricky moves you had going on the floor - not nice - also though this week I filled in on peter G's picnic show rehersal for first arron who was ment to be on boom until Kate turned up to take over and then realised boom was broken and then i filled in james spot as sound assist with jarred as he was a tad emotional at happy hr and let his sorrows drown a tad. And then I filled in for Alex Brown who had to run off to hockey as FM. The show was going ok the only thing I noticed that was annoying me about marks directing was that he is quite an unkind director he dosent thank people hardly as much as he should and gets quite edgy and peeved easily when he is trying to direct something difficulty and it isn't conveyed properly though his camera mans moves. sharp would be the appropriate word i think - but he gets the job done effectivly so hay other then that - no massive probs with that show. Not that its really my place to comment since im not even on that shows crew list officially but as an observer they were just a few things i noticed. Oh just for the record I know this is late I have no computer atm - and also for the notebook - I missed 2 classes because of the number of time I got shifted and shafted in the sissor-lift classes - so wasent impressed at all about that which means im not 2 weeks behind in animation which means there is no way i will be able to get ahead enough to get out of those 3 classes in which we have scholarship training which means there is prob no way in hell ill have a chance at getting it. Also for a note I think gemma and mercus etc... those 2/1st yr proddies who have had more experience should have to run as a 2nd year as even you bruce acknowlage that they have had more experience and training then we have. just as a general note. I think thats all for now so now im going to go bury myself in preperation for the turmoil that will become of this week - c.willems
ps hope this meets the standard requirement for writing bruce and makes up for some of my lesser weeks when i just had nothing to comment on.

TVP107 week 1 term 4

hi - today we did the cooking segment run though exercise first up i was an actor (5TH TIME!!!! GRRR) and then 2nd run though I was FM (YAY!!) normally when im in the afternoon group you can tell a lot of people just want to get out and go to happy hr and the energy is lacking but this time you couldn’t even tell it was arvo - everyone was excited and happy to be back and stuck into it. I think everyone is getting really psyched up about kids show now all the crap of paperwork and segments and inserts and commercials are out of the way mostly. And in the meeting that morning it was good to here that people are really going to try and push this thing hard – who cares if we flop a bit for it at least we will have tried stuff the other years haven’t tried in past years which I recon is really cool. There were a couple of things that people needed to work on - Mim you need a bit more confidence in your abilities you can do it you just need to know you can – if you stuff up you stuff up no massive thing everyone does it occasionally. Nathan YOU ARE A DISOBIDIENT TALANT!! But I love you. Pete and Marcus you both did heaps well at directing from what I could see. WELL DONE BOYS! Jason on 2nd run though even though you didn’t know that Marcus’s head set was turned off you handled it well although you should probably get your assistant to check that next time ( I now you didn’t have an assistant this run though) you still problem solved and handled it well - Lauren you need to be consistent with your time calls to whom ever is FMing you tend to call 2 mins then nothing till 30 seconds – we need a 1 min call ,you also tend to skip 30 seconds and go straight to 20 seconds other then that you did fine you can do the job its just we only have certain times to convey what’s going on to the talent through hand signals there is no 1 min 30 or 20 second hand signal – Steve you should either be applauded or shot for the use of star wipes and the amount you used in the 1st run though – gutsy!

week 2 of hello riverina
was camera 1 today - yay - marcus was director - he did well except he tried getting a tad to creative for such a short show - the opening move he got me to do until bruce changed it was a tad queer but pther then that he did a reasonable job i think we lacked energy - well actually we had the energy we just wernt focusing it as a group enough i think was the problem more - tapes n sound needed a bit of work but generally it seemed a bit outa wack - we got through alright in the end so well done guys but step it up a bit more mabey next week - yea ? we'll show em! see you all next week x c

hi - well this week was hello riverina - again! and once again i was acting! again ! loz was a bit quiet for a fm but she will get better with practice - go nathan - king cable basher cept for that incident when you would have been fired for the camera running over the cable lol jake you need to listen to instructions - you kept making the same mistake - when they say eyye level for this shot they mean make it eye level for this shot! mim speed on tele prompter is important lol i dont know about sound n the control room n tapes but from the looks of things you ran smoothly i would have liked to see some more creative shots used mark but for your 1st time you did well - thats it see you all next week! c x

LAST ASSESMENT!! and it was FANTASTIC!!! man well done to sound u did brillilantly Geff u rule as director! was talkant today normally a crapy role in studio but today was awsomly fun! i kno wi cant spell oh well. FM REALLY NEEDED TO WORK ON IT!! sorry but u did u were all over the place n wernt telling any1 hardly anything none of us without ear pieces knew what was going on - u got a lil better when pat n bruice were observing on the floor during the record but yea - sorry dude. every1 worked really well together today - awsome job guys - keep on heading up in the world from now on i think n i agree with our mentors when they said the whole keep that energy thing coz 3rd week was lacking i recon but this week was gold so keep it going - clo x ps see you all at SMPTE x

MPI104 assesment 2 post

Hi everyone - well its assesmnet 2 time already man how time has flown this term ill tell u what.
I think this semester i have lernt alot about using the internet - i have also learned how to pick out good and bad aesthetics and to anayze the components of a bad web page and how to make them better.I have alos started to recently work on getting new things on my blogspot - on the 7th of june i tried to put music on my web page - it worked but only if the file is already on the computer that the site is being located on - as in i managed to link a music file
from my computer to be played when i viewed my blog on my computer i am currently working on how to make that file play permantley on my site on ANY computer like i have done with my myspage page. - my site is quite intereesting as it gives anybody who wants it an insite into my life which is quite querky at times and some of the posts show just how weird it is for example Sunday 3rd of June - Nightly Adventures , Tuesday April 10th - hollidays entry 1 , April 16th/17th - hollidays entry 2 , The Kerambrells story written by Clare Wood and Chloe Willems - yet to be finished being typed up as clare currently is doing illistrations for chapters 1 - 3 and then will send the book to me for chapters 4 - 6 - so keep holding your breath for the rest , just a few of my more socially interesting and creative posts - they may look long and boaring but they are full - better them me just shoving a bunch of pics on and saying here is me n so n so at so n so's event drinking blah blah blah - boaring you want to check out my life in pictures see my flickr account site and you can see my home, adventerious and social life there. i think my site is aesthetically pleasing as the colours match yet still stand out - they are all part of the same colour spectrum - no colour clashes - its no ugly shape wise it ha good flow for the eye to follow its quite easy to get around and find thigs, it has a FEW pictures, i used black as my base backgroun colour as any spectrum i chose to change my blogger to in the future black would go with and it would stand out on - also it suggests class underneath the fun colours infront. - a nice balance . Through my delicious account i have contacted people and found new peoples blogs etc.. i have from those blogs joined facebook - and found a friend whom i thought i had lost contact with years ago when his mum pulled him out of school unexpectadly and moved away - but we've been in contact alot now and its nice to knwo we are still friends even after all these years. its thanks to being able to surf from 1 persons blog contacts,sites and photos to anothers that i was able to find him again.
So thats what i have learned and have found interesting and told you why i think some of the things on my pages are interesting to others - chloe willems

hay guys - i was DA this week - talk about scary - and i absolutely HATE using stop watches - lol i was actually fine with everything except the fact that i kept stuffing up the gay stop watch - yes im retarded at them. we did shit stagger though but at the end we pulled together and created a pretty good product - sound was awesome this week - wlel done boys - well done every1 - see you all next week - cameras - watch your focuses - you constantly had unfocused shots n they were mostly all shots u had time to set up for - so yea - work on that for next week / keep it in mind guys - ok good job - cyas clo xx you can also

midnight adventures

well tonight there was a massive blackout on campus ash was running round like a mad man on drugs n then peter jarrad ryan n myself went for a midnight jaunt up to the chair on the way the 4 adventures were plagued by all sorts of things jarrad decided half way up to become a stalking wizard, chloe turned 1/2 gothic witch, and peter n ryan were attacked by wear wolves and spent 1/2 the time bounding around and stalking the other 2 - so pretty much we all looked weird and were on top of the hill trying to catch one another unawares and scare them! it was dreadfully fun although i now have to do washing coz my clothes are all wet n the bottom of my pants n my socks are FILTHY!! anywyas sleep calls coz i just got back n its almost 4am sleep = wonderful - nighty night my fellow mist ghosts - lol i dont know what im on - lol byies! xxx
ps MAY BE GOING BACK TO BALI AT END OF YR WITH CLARE PUK N SCOTT! YAY!!

TVP assesment 2

Was stage and ass fm this week - did well had fun i really enjoy being on floor i also think last weeks was better but mabey thats just because we had a more assertive and focused director or because last week i wasnt on floor so i could kinda see what was happening more eaither way- we worked as a well rounded unit i just didnt feel the positive energy that i did off us all last week - but all in all no major stuff ups on our part had the sfx crash but thats klool we handled it well - YAY US!! and yea i think were getting there! keep it up remember perfect practice makes perfect - if you rehherse it shit it will be shit - so prac it well n it'll be fine! byies

Aesthetics MPI104

Aesthetics is basically how beautiful and pleasing to the eye something is in a wed sence this means pretty much how good a webpage looks and why - some attributes to Aesthetics are colour, light, textures, the flow of objects around the page - easy for the eye to follow, and many more.Aesthetics are very improtant when it comes to web design as you cannot lure your customers in with any of the other 5 sences so (well you can use sound but only if its effective) so Aesthetics to the eye are extreemly improtant.

an example of a wed design gone bad would be Brown University the colours are atrotious and clash horribly, they have the most unattractive picture of a person they could find as the header - the pages dosent flow in any way and is just boaring - deffinatly NOT a good web page -

an example of a good web design would be The Walt Disney site this site is very Aestheticly pleasing its colours blend together beautifully all objects are well placed and shapes flow nicley allowing the yee to follow the flow of the page wel it is easy to use nd look at overall a very good web page.

TVP assesment 1

hay - well this week i was ccu which is kinda good coz i was feeling quite ill - i thought it was going to be really scary but it was actually ok and not as bad as it looked although it takes alot of concentration and a cool head.i thought we worked really well as a group and our director pushed us in ways we havent been pushed before so that was really good i think everyone got alot out of it. we did have a few flaws like sound needed to be a bit faster and some minor stuff ups with cards etc.. but all in all it was pretty good. so yay 1 down 3 to go n ill see you all next week. check out how a CCU works

was camera today everyone did pretty well no major screw ups YAY!! energy need ot be up a little bit more but i think thats just due to us being 1/2 asleep witch is no excuse in this industry i know but we are 1st yrs and we are learning to sleep on demand. which i know is still no excuse but we will get ther i have hope yet ! anywya i did ok on camera i think although i must learn to be more fluid when moving the camera or just gain another 50kg and then i wont have to build up arm mussles to move it - also coughing to death dosent help cheers to damo for his "cure" btw hahaha c you all next week for assesment -
ps. gemma good job on stuffing up tapes im sure if it hadent happened to you it would have happened to some1 during assesment so well done u handled it well.

well this friday in studio we did MUCH better then we did last week - i think last week we were trying to work as individuals and not as a team also the races were on and half the pplz diodnt turn up and the other half wantde to go - i donno y i find the races quite boaring to be honest i was happy being in studio i spose thats y i id a good job n didnt get yelled at. but this week as talant i could sit back n see how every1 was working as a team audio were a bit slow to begin with but got better as we went along not great but not bad eaither - 1 of the cams needed some more confidence but other then that they did well fm needed to be much louder and bolder but that will come in time im sure - he just isant a very loud person generally which isant always bad we need some1 who is quieter coz if we had every1 in studio as loud as a fm should be then wede be screwed! over all tnhough good energy thoughout the whole session and we worked together as a team - well done pplz!

I chose to do a google reader account because according to joe its better so i did. it also seems the best coz i use google like everyday - it is how i find out whats happening in the big wide world.
